The Art of Photography (TAOP) Network will be hosting an exhibition of the most outstanding images taken by members of TAOP from our International, NYC, Tampa/
St. Pete and Art of Seeing Sites. This year, the show will be online. We are dedicating it to and curating it for TAOP founder Jack Wild. (No, it’s not a surprise.) Save the date for our Zoom Meetup event on Saturday, August 5 between 7-9 PM ET. It will combine the gala show opening and early celebration of Jack’s 80th birthday (on August 8).

TAOP is now calling for entries to our “A Wild Celebration of Fine Photography Exhibition” Every member of TAOP may submit a maximum of three (3) of your best photos exemplifying the principals of craft and art . You are free to choose the genre, theme, color or monochrome, aspect ratio, etc. All entries must be titled for consideration, but need not be current work.

The virtual exhibition will appear on the currently locked gallery website The Art of Photography (TAOP) network Exhibition This allows for an element of surprise for our members and Jack about which images were selected and how curation can give a flow to randomly submitted images by a multitude of photographers. The Zoom gala opening of the gallery website will take place on Saturday, August 5, 2023 between 7-9 PM ET.

## Details

JOIN US AT THE 11th ANNUAL CLASSIC CAR SHOW AT MIZNER PARK
SUNDAY, JUNE 18TH AT 8 AM
Hit the road to Boca Raton for a heart-racing photography challenge. The display of over 100 unique cars, including racers, rods and rare breeds, will give you great opportunities to shoot abstracts, reflections, fine art angles. But that is just the beginning. Mizner Park is an upscale outdoor space that is bound by the Boca Raton Museum of Art, high end stores and restaurants, gazebos and fountains for anyone intrigued by architectural details. But beyond that, there will be live music and crowds of families for street shooting galore. Admission is free. And there are 4 garages for free parking. The show benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Florida so let’s give it a good showing. Bring the family along.
The show runs from 9 AM to 3 PM. But if you can, we are meeting at 8 AM to get in some fun shots during setup time. And you still have a whole day to celebrate Father’s Day. The show will be on RAIN OR SHINE. And frankly, water droplets on cars can be fantastic.
NOTE: New this year is a Touch-a-Truck component at the Mizner Park Amphitheater where kids and families can enjoy getting up close and personal with various large-scale trucks, as well as service, utility and public service vehicles. Should be wonderful to take photographs there.
MEETING LOCATION:
We will meet at 8AM in front of Starbucks at Mizner Park. 302 East Plaza Real.
PARKING: There are 4 garages in Mizner Park for free parking. Another reason to get there early.
THINGS TO CONSIDER:
You may bring a tripod but be considerate as the area will get very crowded quickly.
Do not leave your equipment and personal belongings unattended.
***THERE WILL BE NO ZOOM MEETING SUNDAY JUNE 18TH***
FOLLOW-UP AND CHALLENGE:
Once the Meetup ends, we will create an album for you to post three (3) of your best photographs from the event. The deadline to post will be
9 p.m. on Saturday, June 24th. A winning photo from the meetup album will become the permanent cover for the event. The name of the winning photographer will also be displayed on the album cover. There will not be any honorable mentions.
Entries must be titled and taken the day of the event.

You are welcome to join our group for another significant photography workshop, offering an opportunity to enjoy an unusual fashionable South Florida area while expanding your artistic/technical knowledge that will add to your photography toolbox, and enjoying the camaraderie. As commonly advertised, the Design District is known for its modern architecture, upscale design stores, public artwork, art galleries, luxury fashion and jewelry boutiques, as well as cafes and celebrity-chef restaurants… possibly surpassing Wynwood’s credibility value.

To Register Please Go To: https://www.meetup.com/miami-fort-lauderdale-field-photography-workshop-meetup/events/293783219/

The workshop leader / instructor (Rafael) taught photography classes at all levels (including digital editing software) for Broward County’s “My Community" School and has personally led field photography outings for over 15 years throughout Broward and Miami-Dade counties and will be available all along this shoot for specific tips, technical consultation, and photography information to capture better images and make this a memorable learning experience for you. We’ll meet in the heart of the Design District on the corner of NE 40 Street and NE 1 Avenue, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 24.
